Our impact
A community home for prayer, learning, and service
American Muslim Association of Lawton (AMAL) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious organization based in Lawton, Oklahoma. Our purpose is to serve local Muslims and neighbors by providing a stable place for daily worship, Friday prayer, Quran learning, youth development, family-centered programs, charitable assistance, and community outreach.
AMAL exists because families need more than a building. They need a trustworthy place where children can learn Islamic values with care, where adults can find spiritual connection, where new residents can meet supportive neighbors, and where people facing hardship can ask for help with dignity. Our center welcomes community members from different backgrounds and helps them stay connected through prayer, education, service, and sincere relationships.
Our work is local and practical. We organize worship services, support Ramadan activities, offer educational opportunities, coordinate family and youth programs, encourage volunteer service, and respond to needs as resources allow. Every donation, volunteer hour, and program registration helps strengthen a community space that benefits current and future generations in Lawton.

Daily prayer space, Friday prayer support, Ramadan gatherings, Eid coordination, and religious reminders that help people maintain a consistent connection with Allah and with the community.
Islamic Education
Quran learning, basic Islamic studies, youth mentoring, family learning circles, and seasonal classes that help students grow in knowledge, manners, identity, and service.
Community Support
Guidance, referral support, family assistance, volunteer coordination, neighbor outreach, and care for members who need a listening ear or practical help.
Center Development
Facility improvement, safety planning, classroom development, accessibility, and long-term projects that make AMAL a stronger Islamic center for Lawton families.

AMAL’s priority is to create a clean, safe, welcoming, and active center where people can worship, learn, volunteer, and receive support. We believe a strong local Islamic center should be easy to find, easy to contact, transparent about its mission, and consistent in serving the people around it. That is why our website includes our programs, contact information, donation options, enrollment forms, and ways to get involved.
We continue to build our programs carefully. Some activities are ongoing, while others are offered seasonally based on volunteer availability and community need. Families may use the enrollment form to ask about Quran classes, youth programs, volunteer opportunities, family events, or community support. Donors may support general operations, charitable programs, or facility development.
